Position Overview: As a Trade Finance Specialist for Metals and Commodities, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating and optimizing international trade transactions, ensuring the smooth flow of financial processes within the company. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of trade finance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the metals and commodities market.

Key Responsibilities:

The role of the Trade Execution Specialist is to negotiate and finalize contractual/LC terms, In-charge of complete trade execution process.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Issuance of contracts after trades are validated and communicate with the trading desk in case of any discrepancies.

Liaise with suppliers, internal and external customers, to plan and manage shipments according to the contractual requirement.

Receiving/issuing letter of credit, preparation, and negotiation of shipping documents to ensure settlements are done timely and correctly.

Activities include following up on freight bookings and vessel tracking, checking the shipment plan, sending vessel nominations, sending/receiving shipping instructions, appointment of surveyors for loading and discharging operations. Responsible for maintenance of the ERP system, to ensure the contract execution status is correct and all relevant data is input correctly and on time.

Provide high value support to the business, anticipate risk, risk mitigation, and provide solution to the business.

Supporting the Trade Finance department to negotiate the rates for Letter of Credit Transactions and review the bank charges to ensure it is in line with the agreements.

Required Skills

International Business - Thorough knowledge of incoterms and regular contract terms and international business practices.

Banking - Thorough knowledge of UCP and ISBP rules and various types of LC's, preferred with CDCS.

Knowledge of incoterms and regular contract terms.

Shipping / Freight Forwarding Experience

IT - Proficient with MS office applications. Prior experience with ERP System or SAP will be an added advantage.

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Must be detail oriented and ability to function in a lean environment.

Experience - 5-7 Years in UAE
