Job Description

Tower Crane Engineer - Key Responsibilities



Installation & Commissioning

: Set up tower cranes according to manufacturer specifications and site requirements.

Maintenance & Repairs

: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical crane systems.

Safety Compliance

: Ensure all crane operations meet local safety regulations and international standards. Coordinate with site safety officers and crane operators.

Technical Support

: Troubleshoot faults and provide on-site technical assistance to crane operators and construction teams.

Design & Layout

: Assist in planning crane foundation and layout, especially for high-rise or complex structures.

Documentation

: Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and modifications. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications



Education

: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

Experience

: Minimum 3-5 years in tower crane operations, preferably with experience in Comedil or similar systems.

Certifications

: Crane safety certification and electrical/mechanical licenses are often required.

Software Skills

: Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for crane layout and design.
