The Time Keeper for a contracting company is responsible for accurately recording and monitoring the attendance, working hours, overtime, and leave of site workers, technicians, operators, and staff. The role supports site management and payroll by providing reliable and timely attendance data in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily attendance of site manpower including laborers, technicians, operators, and supervisors
Maintain accurate timesheets for regular hours, overtime, night shifts, and rest days
Monitor absentees, late arrivals, early departures, and manpower movement between sites
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Foremen, and Supervisors for attendance verification
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly manpower and attendance reports
Submit verified attendance and overtime details to HR/Payroll on time
Maintain leave records (annual leave, sick leave, emergency leave)
Track manpower allocation as per project requirements
Handle attendance through manual registers and/or biometric systems
Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE labor regulations
Maintain confidentiality of employee and attendance records
Requirements & Qualifications
High school certificate or diploma (preferred)
2-4 years of experience as a Time Keeper in a contracting or construction company
Good knowledge of site attendance and payroll coordination
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word)
Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
Good coordination and communication skills
