Key Responsibilities:
Install, cut, shape, and fit tiles to a variety of surfaces including floors, walls, showers, kitchens, and outdoor areas.
Measure and mark surfaces to determine the layout and ensure accurate tile placement.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and leveling before installation.
Use appropriate adhesives, grout, and other materials for secure tile installation.
Maintain a high level of craftsmanship, ensuring tile surfaces are aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and leveling of tiles.
Repair or replace damaged tiles and ensure any necessary re-grouting or sealing is done correctly.
Work collaboratively with other trades and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent on tasks, and any issues encountered.
Assist in ordering materials and ensuring timely delivery to keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tile Mason with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
In-depth knowledge of tile types, adhesives, grout, and installation techniques.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience working with both residential and commercial projects preferred.
Knowledge of safety procedures and building codes related to tile installation.
Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lifting heavy materials.
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in tiling or related fields is a plus.
