:
The Ticketing and Reservation Agent will be responsible for handling all aspects of airline ticketing, reservations, and customer service. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using GDS platforms and have a strong understanding of domestic and international travel arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle airline ticket reservations, issuance, reissuance, cancellations, and refunds.
Provide clients with travel options and itineraries based on their preferences and budget.
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other service providers to ensure seamless travel experiences.
Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo to make and manage bookings.
Advise clients on travel regulations including visa requirements, health and safety protocols, and travel insurance.
Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline schedules, promotional fares, and travel industry trends.
Ensure accuracy in reservations and ticketing to avoid financial discrepancies or customer dissatisfaction.
Assist in corporate travel management including itinerary planning and account management.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a travel agency.
Proficiency in at least one major GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo).
Strong understanding of international and domestic travel booking procedures.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
IATA certification or travel industry-related diploma.
Experience with corporate travel management.
Familiarity with visa application processes and travel regulations.
