Job Description

We are looking for a

Fit-Out Quantity Surveyor

for our Estimation Department. The role is critical to the success of our projects by ensuring accurate cost estimation for a variety of fit-out projects. The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to develop precise cost estimates, analyze tender documents, and prepare competitive bids.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Estimation & Costing

Study tender documents and prepare review documents for internal approvals. Prepare Request for Information (RFI) for any missing information from clients. Analyze drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and materials required. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects including labour, materials, and equipment. Monitor and track project costs throughout execution.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

Prepare and send RFQ packages to suppliers and subcontractors; follow up for quotations. Prepare supplier and subcontractor price comparisons. Assist in price negotiations and maintain approved supplier/subcontractor database.

Project Collaboration

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and procurement team to develop cost-effective and value engineering solutions. Conduct site visits to gather information and clarify project requirements. Provide accurate and timely progress reports to project stakeholders.

Compliance & Knowledge

Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and regulations. Ensure compliance with standards such as QCS, QCDD, Local Authority, GSAS, and LEED. Apply technical and market knowledge to deliver accurate estimates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in QS, HD in QS, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in interior fit-out projects. Experience in estimating, tendering process, site measurement, costing, budgeting, and general contract administration. Freshers are welcome to apply.

Certifications

Professional certification in estimating (CPE or CEP) is preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs. Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
