What we want The Temporary Research Associate will evaluate the role of microplastics (MP) /Nanoplastics (NP) in wettability alteration of the porous media by conducting a series of experiments. The responsibilities include performing coreflood tests on customized porous media and assessing wettability alteration through contact angle measurements. Image analysis using X-Ray micro computed tomography (CT) will be performed to visualize fluid flow patterns, air-liquid interfaces, and alteration in porous media properties such as porosity and permeability. In addition, this position will be responsible for data analysis, reporting, and presenting the results in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.

Required Education and Experience

BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in relevant field

Two years of related professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferably to have education and experience relevant to the job description.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Job Responsbilities

Image Analysist: Image analysis using X-Ray micro- computed tomography (CT) for observing fluid flow patterns, air-liquid interfaces, and changes in porous media properties such as porosity and permeability in presence of microplastics (MP) /Nanoplastics (NP).

Experimentation: Performing Coreflood experiments to inject microplastics (MP) /Nanoplastics (NP) of varying size and hydrophobicity into a variety of porous media and assessing wettability alteration through contact angle measurements.

Data Analysis: Data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results in the form of reports, journal articles, and via presentations in international conferences.

Research Fabrication: Characterization and fabrication of microplastics (MP) /Nanoplastics (NP) and porous media
