Geography Teacher- Middle School
About the Role:
GEMS Modern Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team temporarily. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive Geography instruction to students in Grades 8, 9, and 10, following the ICSE curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about fostering a love for geography and can start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students in Grades 8-10.
Teach the ICSE Geography syllabus effectively, ensuring thorough preparation for board examinations for Grade 10 students.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and curiosity.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field. A B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
Proven experience teaching Geography, preferably within the ICSE/ISC curriculum to middle and high school students.
In-depth knowledge of the ICSE Geography syllabus for Grades 8-10.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

I. Qualification Requirements
Mandatory Educational Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Geography (B.A. or .) or a closely related field from a recognized university.
A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with Geography as a teaching subject.
Preferred Qualifications (Will distinguish strong candidates):
A Master's degree in Geography (M.A. or .).
