TELECOMMUNICATION ENG/SR. TECHNICIAL QUALIFICATION Minimum Diploma/Bachelors in Telecom/Electronic industry or similar, with 6+ years of relevant specialized experience. AVAILABLE TELECOM SYSTEMS (include but not limited to): - TETRA system - VHF\UHF Radio system - Public Address & General Alarms system for process & non-process areas - CCTV (Analog & digital IP) system - SDH and DWDM systems - Paging system - Ground to Air (aeronautical) - Marine Communication & GMDSS System - Access Control System - SMATV\IP TV (The main system and its distribution to all end-points) - Meteorological system (Weather Monitoring System) - SSB system - Page party system - Emergency Telecom System (ETS) - Fiber optic infrastructure - Voice recording system - Hotline system - WiMAX and Microwave systems Connectivity links for DATA & Internet - Personal Tracking System (PTS) The objective of this scope of work is to provide to carry out the following activities: - Installation, configuration & maintenance of site field telecom systems such as UHF, VHF, A/G, SSB, Mete-ocean\ system, PAGA, Paging system, TETRA, Fiber optics (SDH & DWDM), WiMAX, MW links etc. JOB DESCRIPTION FOR TELECOMMUNICATION - Installation and maintenance for the Telecom Systems, priority will be given to the candidates having hands on experience over Tetra and DMR two way radio communication VHF & UHF systems for Motorola, Airbus, Vertex etc . - Candidate shall perform maintenance, testing and configuration of all existing and upcoming telecom systems such as but not limited to: Tetra & DMR System, SSB system, UHF radio system, VHF radio system, Ground to Air (aviation) radios, Public Address and General Alarms system, Fiber optic, Paging system, CCTV (Analog & digital IP) system, DWDM & SDH system, Personal Tracking System, VRS, etc. - Candidate shall possess all the telecommunications technical and engineering skills to make adjustments to different types of telecom and related components using measuring and diagnostic software. They will ensure that precision settings are in alignment with established standard. They will coordinate with operations, perform tests and resolve any issues related to Telecom system. - Candidate shall possess all the technical and engineering skills for maintenance, configuration, test and calibration of a variety of telecom equipment/systems. Their primary job is to make sure that telecom devices are properly functional and with accurate readings. - Candidate shall have skills such as good English speaking & writing, computer skills, technical and non-technical reporting. - Hands on experience and understanding in telecom system/equipment maintenance, software and material application. - Familiarity and competency in telecom equipment service manual handling and telecom test equipment usage. - Initiate and participate in investigations related to radio frequency interference and propose technical solutions to such problems for review and discussion with complainant. - Identify requirements of telecommunication spares, consumables and specialized test instruments and initiate requests for needed items. - Acceptance test and configuration of procured telecom equipment. - Understanding different cable characteristics data sheets and suitability for each application. - Create, amend and issue Preventive Maintenance Plan depending on the condition and use of the equipment, for both workshop and site equipment. - Participate in planning and implementing scheduled maintenance and tests, systems modifications and requirements for spares and equipment to ensure the continued functioning of the system hardware. - Analyze equipment failure reports investigate alternative approaches to ensure that satisfactory technical and operational solutions are found and implemented. - Liaise with equipment vendors to solve repair problems, upgrade older equipment to replace obsolete items and to keep abreast of hardware developments. - Coordinate with all sites for testing and maintenance and to upgrade and maintain all telecom systems.
