Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Tekla Checker
to review, verify, and approve models and drawings created by the detailing team. The role ensures that all deliverables are accurate, clash-free, fabrication-ready, and aligned with project codes and standards.Key Responsibilities
Review
Tekla Structures models and drawings
for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications. Verifyweld symbols, bolt sizes, dimensions, assemblies, and material take-offs
. Check constructability to ensure drawings arefabrication- and erection-friendly
. Provide markups, corrections, and feedback to Tekla Modellers; guide and mentor junior staff. Approve final drawings forrelease to workshop and site teams
. Coordinate withQA/QC, workshop supervisors, and site engineers
to resolve technical issues. Assist in developing and maintainingcompany Tekla standards, templates, and best practices
.Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering. 5+ years' experience in
steel detailing
, with at least 2 years in achecking/senior role
. Advanced proficiency inTekla Structures
software. Strong knowledge offabrication, welding, and erection methods
. Familiarity withinternational codes (AISC, BS, EN)
. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills. High attention to detail and ability to identify errors before release.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
Experience:
BIM/DRAWING CHECKER : 2 years (Required) * TEKLA STRUCTURES: 3 years (Required)
