Adecco is currently recruiting for a Technology Manager / Service Managerfor our client, a global chemical company with a focus on Petroleum & Natural Gas. The primary function of the successful candidate is to provide technical consulting to customers with product recommendations and creating proposals.
This role is for a permanent placement based in Abu Dhabi. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known company with an international presence with some travel required. This role is available due to an internal promotion.
Job Summary:You will be a qualified Chemical Engineer who is detail orientated and a strong communicator in the fields of Petrochemical/hydro-carbon processing. With at least 5 years technical experience in process engineering and catalysis or adsorption you will be well versed in consulting and solution focused for your customers.
Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and product knowledge to help customers.
• Provide technical proposals and quotations to customers.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and clients.
• Provide customer consultation and on-site support (travel required).
• Identify business opportunities and convert them into business.
• Drive opportunity management process.
• Collect and document market trends.

The Successful Applicant must have:

• Bachelors Degree or Higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of technical experience- focusing on Petrochemical, hydrocarbon, gas treatment, absorbent solutions, natural gas etc.
• Confident communicator and with customer facing experience.
• Excellent Computer and strong analytical skills.
• Critical thinking ability to think outside the box and be solution focused.
• Experience in process engineering or process design would be an asset.
