Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job Pump Technician is responsible to perform skilled maintenance works independently in the repair, assembly, alignment of mechanical equipment like Centrifugal pumps and submersible pumps etc. Main Competencies required for the Position Mechanical diploma OR Certificate course from recognize technical institute to related field. Minimum 07-10 years of experience in maintaining centrifugal pump, Submersible pumps and vertical pumps etc Pump Technician maintains, troubleshoot and test all kind of pumps. Main Duties / Responsibilities Perform Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance for Mechanical equipment like Pumps and Valves etc. Ability to conduct limited design, plan, and lay out fabrication or assembly jobs, and to carry through to completion. Ability to locate and identify malfunctions or defections in equipment or apparatus and to make repairs. Ability to plan and supervise the work and instruct subordinate technicians. Quickly identify and rectify problems and escalate as necessary Assemble and install Mechanical equipment. Keep daily reports. Trains and mentors his subordinates. Attends to emergency services. Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position A certificate in Mechanical is required, Preferable diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Selection Criteria Mechanical diploma OR Certificate course from recognize technical institute to related field. Minimum 07-10 years of experience in maintaining pumps, plus installation and commissioning experience a distinct advantage. Pump Technician maintains, troubleshoot and test the Mechanical systems. Ability to work cooperatively with other trades. Analytical and problem solving skills. Time management skills. Special Conditions Good communication skills.
