To carry out Periodic Maintenance Services (PMS) and General Repairs (GR) on customer vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and working on electrical, mechatronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems across a wide range of automotive models, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Job Responsibilities
Financials
Achieve set targets for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity, and Overall Utilisation
Strategic Implementation
Receive repair orders from the Team Leader and understand the full scope of work to be carried out
Perform PMS and GR as per the scope of work, using diagnostic tools and standard service procedures
Record any additional repairs and recommendations using the E-estimate digital app, and update the Team Leader accordingly
Demonstrate strong manual dexterity, as well as advanced technical, mechanical, and computer skills
Take ownership of your responsibilities, working independently and showing effective self-management
Read and interpret complex documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams
Follow quality control systems to prevent or correct workmanship that falls below required standards
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all personal and workshop tools are kept in good condition
Customer Journey
Ensure the highest level of compliance with F1 standards and manufacturer guidelines
Handle customer vehicles with the utmost care and ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally
Learning & Growth
Participate in Training Needs Assessments conducted by the training academy
Continue to develop technical skills through the automotive training programme
Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Governance
Carry out authorised repairs as agreed and report any additional findings to the Team Leader
For warranty repairs, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, tag replaced parts accordingly, and hand them over to the centralised warranty store
Ensure compliance with all Automotive Standards and Process Guidelines
Strictly adhere to HSE protocols and procedures as per SOPs, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety measures for tools, equipment, and customer vehicles
Educational Qualifications
2-year ITI (NCVT-certified Industrial Training Institute), or
3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
Work Experience
A minimum of
5 years' experience
in an automotive dealership environment
At least
2 years must be in a technician role
Core Competencies
Strong technical knowledge in automotive systems and diagnostics
Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and computer-based troubleshooting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Effective communication and reporting skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Familiarity with dealership operations and customer service protocols
Languages
Proficiency in English is essential
