Job Purpose

The Technician - Mechanical will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment, systems, and utilities. Install, repair, and service pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, piping, valves, motors, and other mechanical components. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Carry out alignment, balancing, lubrication, and overhauling of machinery. Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Assist in mechanical works for new installations, modifications, and projects. Support continuous improvement and energy-saving initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma/ITI/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 2years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in [industry--manufacturing, facilities management, MEP, oil & gas, etc.]. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Familiarity with safety regulations, mechanical codes, and standards. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency call-outs.

Skills & Competencies

Technical expertise in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good time management and organizational skills.

Working Conditions

Site-based / fieldwork environment. May require physical work, working in confined spaces, or at heights. Overtime and emergency response may be necessary.
