To carry out Periodic Maintenance Services (PMS) and General Repairs (GR) on customer vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and working with electrical, mechatronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems across a wide range of Nissan and Infiniti models, in line with manufacturer guidelines
Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance
Achieve set targets for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity, and Overall Utilisation
Strategic Implementation
Receive and review repair orders from the Team Leader, understanding the full scope of work required
Perform PMS and GR using diagnostic tools and standard service procedures
Identify and record additional repairs and recommendations using the E-estimate digital app, and communicate these to the Team Leader
Apply manual dexterity and advanced mechanical, technical, and computer skills
Demonstrate ownership, working independently with minimal supervision, and managing your time and workload effectively
Read and interpret complex technical documentation, including safety rules, operating procedures, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams
Adhere to quality control procedures to prevent or rectify any substandard workmanship
Maintain a clean work area and ensure all personal and workshop tools are kept in good condition
Customer Experience
Adhere to the highest standards of compliance with F1 service protocols and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines
Handle customer vehicles with care, ensuring safety at all times
Learning & Development
Participate in Training Needs Assessment conducted by the training academy
Continuously enhance technical skills by engaging in Nissan's official training programmes
Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Governance
Perform authorised repairs as per customer approval, and report any further findings to the Team Leader
For warranty repairs, strictly follow OEM procedures, tagging and returning replaced parts to the centralised warranty store
Review vehicle service history and check for any applicable OEM recall campaigns
Ensure full compliance with Nissan Dealer Standards and Process Guidelines
Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) protocols as outlined in the SOP, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and care of equipment and vehicles
Educational Qualifications
2-year ITI (NCVT-certified Industrial Training Institute)
3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an automotive dealership environment
At least 2 of those years must be in a technician role
Core Competencies
Strong technical knowledge in automotive diagnostics and repair
Mechanical, electrical, and computer-based troubleshooting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and reporting skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Familiarity with dealership operations and customer service protocols
Languages
Proficiency in English is essential
