Partner with the best As a Technician Machinist, you will play a key role in our daily plant operations to ensure reliability and consistency on our production line. As a Technician Machinist, you will be responsible for:
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
Good mechanical aptitude, including developing skills in use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Sets-up and operates special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabrication of metallic and non-metallic ports that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within the organization
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required
Independently operates equipment
Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow depth and angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
Must be able to select align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
Must demonstrate intermediate skill level (indicate part, turn ODs and quality ID and OD) on machines, such as CNC mill, CNC lathe, and NC (figure feed rates), manual mil, brooch, drill press rework lathe/press lathe
Identify cost-out opportunities and elevate to lead/supervisor/manager/AMO engineer for review/implementation.
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
Have a technical diploma or minimum 2 years of experience CNC Machining, 3.4 & 5 Axes
Have a strong awareness of HSE and the ability to work independently in a safe manner and strictly adheres to all safety requirements and procedure
Have advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments
Have advanced knowledge reading drawings & specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance dimensions
Have ability to select, align, operate holding fixtures, cutting tools, Overhead cranes & attachments & other accessories for machining purpose.
Have a good English communication skill, good computer usage skills & Basic Knowledge in SAP is preferable.
