We are seeking a Refinery Field Machinist Technician to join the department. This department is responsible for providing the required line maintenance of all refining and NGL rotating equipment in terms of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Your primary role will be to diagnosis and repair of all types of rotating and mechanical equipment. Work performed will include equipment installation, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair and reassembly, testing and equipment modification.

Your primary role will be to diagnosis and repair of all types of rotating and mechanical equipment. Work performed will include equipment installation, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair and reassembly, testing and equipment modification.
Responsibilities:
- Identify equipment faults and anomalies through diagnostic tests, measurements, and analyses, both on-site and potentially by disassembling equipment in the field or workshop.
- Determine the scope of repairs and the replacement parts needed.
- Carry out maintenance tasks on designated equipment, which may involve disassembly, part replacement, or machining as necessary.
- Reassemble equipment and conduct operational tests to ensure effective repair.
- Perform alignment of rotating equipment using methods such as rim and face, reverse, and laser techniques.
- Set up, adjust, and execute over-speed trip tests for steam turbines.
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of valve actuators, including hydraulic, mechanical (electric), and pneumatic systems.
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program (advanced degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience working with various equipment, including gas reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, vertical and horizontal pumps, manual and motor-operated valves.
- Proficient understanding and compliance with various work permit requirements.
- Thorough understanding of field mechanical operation principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in the realm of rotating equipment.
- Preferably, experience as a team leader in repair projects.
