Job Purpose

The job holder designs, develops and delivers training for After Sales department’s staff to enhance their competencies and skills in their relevant fields.

Job Responsibilities

External Training (Suzuki )
  • To develop, organize and implement annual training program for ARTC in coordination with senior operation managers, Suzuki and various suppliers.
  • Identifies training needs of Key Accounts like DEWA, Municipalities etc. in coordination with Fleet Sales team and organise the on job training for their technicians to deliver required skills.
  • Ensures all staff are trained sufficiently on new models before launch in order to ensure swift operation.
  • Internal Training
  • Conduct Technical Assessment periodically in coordination with Job Controllers with updated Questionnaires.
  • Develops training courses according to Suzuki standards to develop the skills of our After Sales staff.
  • Manage the three phases of training while as follows;
  • Phase: 1. Basic training on mechanical and electrical part, function of the vehicles, repairing of minor issues.
  • Phase: 2. Engine Overruling, Advanced Mechanical & Electrical, General Services.
  • Phase: 3. Mastering from Head to Tale lamp, Diagnosis will be handled individually, able to read Semitics diagrams etc.
  • Organize an on the job and computer based training program to facilitate skills refresher training that does not require a class room environment.
  • Conduct induction training for new staff to familiarize them to ARTC systems.
  • Organize yearly Skill Competition among the technicians and award them with Certificates.
  • Administration
  • Ensures SLA achievement with Suzuki as per the agreed annual training achievement plan.
  • Maintains training records for all After Sales staff for audit purposes.
  • Submits monthly report on training activities & performance to senior management to update on training methods and skill levels of staff

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree
  • Certified Trainer by Suzuki Global Training (is preferable)

Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in training within the automotive industry (preferably in Passenger Cars Segment) within the GCC region.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Certified Training Skills on various subjects in line with the automotive industries.
  • Good planning, coordinating skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Good mentoring skills
  • Self confidence
  • Well organised & effective plans in all situations.
