Due to our expansion and growth, a career opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Outdoor Living. About the role A Technical Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Outdoor Living is our internal expert/go to person for our range of outdoor living products. This portfolio consists of luxury outdoor furniture \xe2\x80\x93 chairs, tables, sofa sets, day beds, sun beds, umbrella\xe2\x80\x99s, fire pits and planters. We have invested heavily in our after-sales capability to ensure our customers have access to all the help and support they need. Therefore, there are many facets to this role, so a balance of technical knowledge and customer centricity is required. The Specialist must be able to confidently follow-up with customers post installation to ensure they are satisfied and handle technical cases or customer queries. This may involve writing in-depth site reports for the issues found and present options to resolve. It could also include supplier engagement to discuss product development and its performance. Internally the Specialist must be able to demonstrate and train our sales, technical and installation teams on product functionality, its performance, and installation/assembly requirements. Plus our category management team will need support with new product development, client feedback on existing products, technical input and recommendations to fill any gaps in the current offerings or help evolve product functionality. About You A sales background and product knowledge of timber and fabrics is a major plus in this role. An understanding of the current market demands, and customer requirements would also be advantageous. Experience in providing customer focused support with a natural ability to solve problems, be technically minded and enthusiastic to install, test, tear down and service products.
