About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with a strong foundation in software engineering to lead and manage our technical teams. This role is perfect for someone who started their career as a software developer and later transitioned into project management. The ideal candidate will also bring business analysis experience and the ability to manage cross-functional projects involving WordPress, custom software development, and occasional marketing initiatives. You'll be responsible for driving the delivery of high-impact projects while collaborating closely with developers, designers, analysts, and stakeholders. You will ensure that every project is well-scoped, technically feasible, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead software development projects from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage and mentor a cross-functional technical team, including software engineers and QA. Act as a bridge between business and technical teams by gathering, analyzing, and translating requirements into clear specifications. Oversee WordPress-based projects - including site launches, plugin integrations, and performance optimization. Maintain and prioritize the project backlog; define user stories, tasks, and epics with clear acceptance criteria. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor project performance using tools like Jira, Trello, or similar platforms. Conduct regular sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and ensure agile best practices are followed. Collaborate with the marketing team to align development efforts with campaigns, product launches, or site updates when needed. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and manage expectations proactively.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2-3 years in a technical project management role. Proven experience as a software engineer or developer earlier in your career. Strong experience in WordPress project management and custom software development. Solid understanding of business analysis - ability to create and manage BRDs, FRDs, and workflows. Familiarity with both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional project management methodologies. Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or Asana. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects across departments. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certification is a plus. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Git, or CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with UI/UX teams. Hands-on involvement in QA and UAT processes. Previous exposure to CRM or ERP integrations.
