Overview

***This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

+ Under supervision of Custodial Supervisor, ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned in accordance with PWS and industry standard. Ensures personnel complete all tasks in accordance with the Public Works Safety Policy, Performance Work Statement, and LOGCAP V Environmental, Safety & Health directives. Correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders for carpet cleaning services, preventative maintenance inspections, and urgent/emergency Customer requests using Microsoft Office applications. Performs inventory control and transport to various work sites the supplies needed to complete the work of the department; monitor the use and care of the supplies and equipment. Performs routine inspection of all assigned areas and evaluate the total work of employees against established standards, ensuring training needs are met, and counseling on job performance. Develops information, maintain records, and prepare a variety of reports e.g. custodial workloads, service requirements. Maintain cleanliness to assigned areas in accordance with the Vectrus LOGCAP V Performance Work Statement, Technical Exhibits, and Internal Work Instructions. Inspect all equipment related to the primary duties to ensure equipment is serviceable and report any deficiencies to the Supervisor for any items that require repair or replacement. customers. Maintains adequate supplies in utility closets, custodial carts, and storage containers.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High School diploma. Associate degree preferred

+ Training in custodial services use with Carpet Shampooers, Carpet Extractors is preferred.

+ Familiarized with safety training on proper handling of linen, blood borne pathogens, and bed bugs.

+ A valid home country driver's license is required.

+ Must have Kuwait Driver's License (KDL).

+ Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:

+ To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.

+ Experience:

+ Requires minimum of two (2) years of custodial experience.

+ Skills:

+ Proficiency Level for reading, speaking and writing in English: Level 3

+ Practices, methods, equipment, tools, and materials used in custodial work and carpet cleaning.

+ Characteristics and use of commercial custodial compounds.

+ Principles and practices of working safely

+ Must be able to complete a task when instructed to do so by the Manager, or USG Customer.

+ Must be able to assist in the preparation of Internal Work instruction and prepare work schedules.

+ Must be flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills.

+ Must be able to recognize and quickly resolve customer issues, lead the custodial team, and work independently with little or with no supervision.

+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks at any given time.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Duties will involve the conduct of work in the indoor and/or outdoor environment with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 130 degrees in the summer months. Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Employee must comply with all Fire, Safety, Security, Health requirements and post policies. Normal work week is 48 hours but must be able to work overtime and evening as mission requires. Applicant must have professional appearance consistent with local customs.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Work may require heavy lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents
