Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (All is to be completed solely by the incumbent with/out GMs supervision). You must have leadership skills and the ability to manage teams. Must be able to work simultaneously on several subjects with the ability to follow-up on all without reminders. Must be able to delegate, assign and transfer responsibilities to team members and guide them on how to deliver results. You must be skilled in online research to be able to identify niche markets that require specialty products that are in demand. Must be able to reverse engineer competitors' products using research skills and experience. Plan, organize, direct, develop the company's overall production operation as per the companys corporate business and strategic production plan in terms of safety, quality, production output, delivery and customer satisfaction. Must be able to improve production capabilities and add new production lines for new products as required and needed. Acting proactively to formulatenew specialty lube products, increase the company's product range as well as identify niche markets that require products you can manufacture with your existing network of suppliers. Must be able to increase the business network of approved suppliers of finished goods, base oils, and additives. Initiates routine technical meetings to review & diagnose the problems and seek improvements continuously and proactively. Must be able to accurately report on business matters consistently with excellent follow-up and reporting skills to ensure that business long term objectives are met. Optimally make sure that manufacturing units improve on the standard efficiencies in terms of machine efficiencies, material yields, labour and overhead costs versus budget. Manage, with the marketing team, in creating and updating the product technical data sheets & material safety data sheets on a regular basis. Provide original and creative content for social media with your team. Responsible for the overall management and development activities of technical area personnel of around (35) members, including laboratory, production, and maintenance team members. Implements overall key performance indicators. Management reserves the right to add, modify, or change duties as needed. QUALIFICATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS Preferably MSc or Bachelors degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering. 10 years of lubricants manufacturing industry experience, of which at least 2 years of managerial level. Must have solid knowledge of formulating new lubricant products, lubricant handling & storage, selection of lubrication equipment for quality control. Must have excellent time management skills and able effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Must be able to research new markets for niche products and help develop new business strategies. Process improvement methodology experience preferred; such as LEAN, Six Sigma Conduct product training for customers and company associates where needed. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational with follow-up skills and provide reports on all subjects. Proficient in ERP systems, SAP and Microsoft Office.
