The main purpose of a Technical Lead is to provide technical direction, leadership, and expertise to a team of software developers or engineers. It can be Technical Guidance, Code Review, Problem Solving, Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members.
Review and approve technical designs, code, and architecture.
Creating a framework of technical standards and procedures.
Analyzing existing operations to identify risks and redundancies.
Designs features to enhance customer experience and interaction.
Design and architect robust and scalable software solutions.
Ensure that software solutions align with the organization\'s business goals and technical standards.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies or platforms for implementation.
Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.
Establish and enforce coding standards, testing procedures, and best practices.
Perform code reviews to maintain code quality and reliability.
Implement and champion software development methodologies like Agile or DevOps.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues and incidents.
Develop and implement solutions to address technical challenges and system outages.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide career development guidance to team members.
Identify training and skill development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a software developer or engineer, with hands-on expertise in relevant technologies.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical technical decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and project management practices.
Familiarity with version control systems, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Lead and mentor a team of software developers and fostering a collaborative.
Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
Possess strong technical knowledge and stay updated with Banking industry trends and emerging technologies e.g.NDC, DDC, Procash, ATM Switch, Protopas Web Extension & ISO 8583.
