You will act as a focal point to grow and develop our technical capabilities.In C' Suite Advisory we provide the following client facing advisory services:Digital & IT Strategy & PlanningDigital & Business Transformation AssessmentTechnology Road Mapping & Impact AssessmentOperating Model and Maturity DevelopmentIT Assessment & Due DiligenceIT Sourcing & ProcurementIT Value ManagementEnterprise ArchitectureData CapitalisationHigh-performing digital IT services are critical to all businesses and government organisations in today's marketplace. With digital IT services and data at the core of operations, organisations look to technology to support and enable their business growth and efficiency agenda. We help organisations embrace their data and new digital technology, whilst understanding the full impact on the organisations operating model, people, processes, technology and integration with existing capabilities. To help C' suite operators address their significant challenges, which often include:Support the business strategy, ensuring alignment of Digital/IT initiatives to the business, that maximises business value.Needing to keep up with the technical art of the possible and disruption.Understand competitor trends and advantage, in relation to technology uptake.What impact will technology have on my Organisation and Operating Model, Facilities, People, Processes, and existing Technology.How do I increase effectiveness, efficiency and quality, with less funds, people and time.I need to Improve reliability of busines operations and Digital/IT services with less .....with early identification and/or prevention of issues, and robust solutions to diverse business needs.I must respond effectively to change drivers such as market pressures or opportunities, regulatory demands, cost reduction pressures, or reorganisation due to mergers or acquisitions.Improve reputation, customer satisfaction, trust and uptake of the Digital / IT services.Many more challenges and C' Suite questions exist beyond this shot example list that we can help our clients with.This role will require extensive travel across our global clients and/or with agreement could require being based overseas for extended periods, locations to be agreed.This is intended as a guide to the type of work a Technical Director may be asked to perform and is not an exhaustive list.As a Technical Director you will provide leadership, advice, and outputs to:Advise and influence the client's strategic direction with respect to Digital Technology.Advise and make recommendations to the client in relation to the business, organisational, operational, commercial, financial, and technical impact of adopting Digital Technology.Advise and work-with clients to shape their transformational strategy and activities in the pursuit of Digital Technology adoption and business/operational transformation.Devise and direct on best practice based, processes, operating models, delivery and service methods and governance across the Digital IT value chain (Lifecycle), to ensure client success in adopting Digital Technology.Provide technical leadership and support for our most complex and challenging Digital/IT client consulting and implementation tasks, ensuring excellent delivery outcomes.Advise and guide the client in relation to maturity and effectiveness and efficiency improvements, for operational and competitive advantage and cost optimisation.Develop client intimacy and leverage senior client relationships in pursuit of becoming the client's "go-to trusted advisor" working in partnership with the clients C' suite.Develop and articulate compelling Digital Technology and Transformation value propositions and lead client thought-leadership activities.Identify and promote appropriate technology and technical market trends and evolution.Work closely with the market / account team, providing a technical focal point and strategy supporting development of robust growth.Drive our brand perception with key economic buyers and strategic influencers in line with our desired market positioning.Work closely with Client Directors and Managers, leading the technical elements of key bids and pursuits, as well as shaping Client Value Propositions.Drive technical coherence across the account portfolio and coach and guide staff as to the most appropriate Digital Technology and Technical Approaches and Practices.Provide technical leadership, assurance and support for our most complex and challenging Digital/IT account initiatives, ensuring excellent delivery outcomes.Provide a source of, innovative, trusted strategic advice across the breadth of Digital Technology disciplines, with relevance to technological evolution within the Market Sector.Provide Digital Technology industry leadership representing Atkins and our Market Teams across Client's at major industry forums and events.Actively participate in the Digital Advantage Technology Leadership practice team, advising on technological trends / movements, client requirements, demand and developments.Act as a bridge into practices, articulating strategic capability development needs to support both client needs, market and practice strategies and development plans.Act as Client stakeholder, orchestrator and key interface to develop multi-capability client solutions, involving multiple disciplines across Atkins and industry partners.Role Characteristics:Spending 80% working between direct client advisory and market / account team business development, support and advisory. 20% working with Atkins practices providing capability development stewardship based on Client demand and expert views from industry research and representation.What you can bring?Breadth of consultancy experience, working as a trusted advisor with Board level / C' suite stakeholders, tackling enterprise-level challenges, issues and concerns.Able to operate at strategic and detail levels with equal ease.Accomplished at communicating complex technical concepts with ease to a wide range of stakeholders.Complete understanding of the social, commercial, financial and operational impact of digital technology.Able to operate commercially, e.g., simultaneously collaborating and competing with other consultancies, and navigate complex political landscapes within client organisations.Able to demonstrate practical hands-on ability to lead and direct by example, without direction.Outstanding ICT consulting and/or implementation credentials at enterprise level. We can be flexible about the specific disciplines, but expect significant capability in some of the following areas:Strategy and Architecture (Enterprise, Business, Solution, Service)Governance and planningEnterprise IT managementService Ops / Security OpsData (governance, architecture, exploitation)Development & implementation managementTransformational technology exploitation (such as intelligent Networks, Cloud, Containerisation, RPA, AI, Data Capitalisation)Practical ICT programme, project, service delivery - Agile DeliveryA subject matter expert in at least one digital technology and/or best practice discipline.Expect a range of certifications CITP - ITIL - TOGAF - COBIT - Safe and/or expert knowledge.Existing knowledge of Market Sector e.g., Aerospace, Defence, CNI, Transport Etc.Demonstrable evidence of technically leading complex tender responses.Evidential expertise of completing at least one enterprise scale full lifecycle digital transformation, detailing the reason and rationale, problem or challenge, the solution/s, approach and the outcomes and benefits. With clear definition of what you did throughout.
