Your main responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with design team to develop drafting, calculation, documentation, and data storage standards that are consistent across the company;
• Serve as primary team contact with third client, consultants or any third-party engineers, while promoting direct collaboration with individual designers;
• Lead detailed technical discussions;
• Undertake designs and the production and review of design documentation including 3D Models, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications;5.Review all design documentation for completeness, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and adherence to budget goals;
• Supporting the team as required in the development of design solutions as required;
• Red flag any current or potential design crisis as early as possible, so priorities can be rearranged to mitigate the impact;
• Highlight significant scope changes to Project Management;
• Ensure the proper distribution of design documents to Production, Project management, client, consultants or any third-party engineers;
• Compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment and managerial procedures, thus ensuring work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards;
• Supervise and oversee design, modelling and detailing including production of 3D Models and extraction of information directly from the model to form 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables;
• Supporting the preparation of specifications for construction, technical surveys and design;
• Serve as a reviewer and a technical auditor to ensure technical assurance. Undertake self-checking and assist with technical checks of work undertaken by the team;
• Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables;
• Actively contribute to project design development by contributing to internal coordination, clash detection and design review sessions as well as external presentations to clients;
• Provide over the shoulder support for junior staff, mentor and support them through technical training and live project work supervision;
• Manage a team of draftsmen and visualizers along with the Lead Designers;

You have a passion for office interior design and especially the technical part of that. You are good at creating new designs but also reviewing designs from others and check for technical qualifications and improvements. You love working in a driven team where excellence of work is always expected.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills, mainly in English;Leadership qualities and interpersonal skills to contribute to a collaborative workplace;
• Strong knowledge of preparing detailed technical drawings for fitout and joinery production;
• Sound to identify design glitch and make necessary recommendation without affecting the design
• Solid computer proficiency in 3D, CAD and Microsoft Office;

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Architecture or Interior Design;
• Minimum of 5 years working experience as Technical Designer, working on corporate/office fit out;
• Bachelor degree
