Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and innovative

Technical Design Manager

with deep expertise in

aluminum and facade systems

to lead the technical design function for large-scale construction projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring

15+ years of specialized experience

in facade design and execution, with a strong portfolio of curtain wall, cladding, and structural glazing projects. This role demands strong leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, and a commitment to delivering design excellence in line with regional codes and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the

technical design team

in developing high-performance aluminum and facade systems from

concept design to execution

. Prepare and validate

detailed design drawings

, calculations, specifications, and system layouts in compliance with project requirements and local/international codes. Collaborate with

architects, structural consultants, contractors, and clients

to ensure all design solutions are technically viable, aesthetically aligned, and cost-effective. Review, comment on, and approve

shop drawings

,

material submittals

,

mock-ups

, and

technical documentation

. Provide

technical guidance

during procurement, fabrication, and installation to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct

value engineering

and

design risk assessments

to optimize functionality, performance, and cost. Ensure

design compliance

with UAE regulations, including Dubai Municipality, ADM, Trakhees, and other local authorities. Stay current with the

latest facade technologies

, construction methods, and sustainable materials to drive design innovation. Mentor junior engineers and drafters, facilitating

knowledge sharing

and fostering a high-performance design culture. Ensure

design milestones

, submittals, and approvals are achieved as per the

project program and budget

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

:
Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

,

Architecture

,

Structural Engineering

, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience

: Minimum

15 years

of hands-on experience in

facade and aluminum design

, including curtain wall, ACP, cladding, glazing, and composite systems. Strong experience working on major

commercial, residential, and high-rise projects

in the

UAE or GCC region

.

Technical Proficiency

: Expert-level knowledge of

AutoCAD

,

Revit

,

BIM workflows

, and

structural analysis tools

(e.g., Staad, RFEM). Familiarity with

international and regional standards

(ASTM, BS/EN, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, etc.).

Soft Skills

: Strong

leadership and team management
