Technical Customer Support Engineer (1st Line) - Airline, Travel (AITA, GDS) - Dubai, Full Time

You must be a Technical Customer Support Engineer, experienced in the Airline/Travel sector. You must be IATA/GDS Certified, and be able to provide 1st line technical support and support the technical queries of the customers of our client.

Candidates must be based in Dubai to be considered for this position.

You will be working on shifts/a rota, 5 days per week which can be any day inclusive of weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Incidents and Customer Requests are managed end to end until resolution, including escalation to internal teams and third parties as needed.
  • Support customers in resolving customer queries and issues via a variety of communication channels.
  • Ensure that all service management procedures are followed, have the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure SLA\'s are adhered to whilst ensuring a quality service to customers.
  • Stay abreast of changes in company products, whilst making recommendations to improve the products based on customer feedback.
  • Provide functional training and guidance to new customers of the business.
  • Translate technical requirements and queries, then relaying the solutions to queries in a way that non-technical executives can understand.
Qualifications:
  • 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years\' experience of offering 1st Line technical support within the Travel and/or Airline industry
  • Clear expertise within the Travel and Airline Sectors, including being IATA and/or GDS certified.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, ensuring problems and resolutions are clearly articulated to customers and technical engineers.
  • Ability to analyse problems with motivation to find resolutions.
  • Self-organizing, motivated and passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
