Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Consultant with deep experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Retail. This is a hands-on, in-house role focused on ERP/POS system improvements, custom reporting, process optimization, and internal support. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the system's technical health, reporting, process flow optimization, and issue resolution without the need for third-party intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development & Support



Build, customize, and troubleshoot reports using AL language, Power BI, Jet Reports, and Excel Add-Ins.

Manage extensions and perform minor custom development within Business Central & LS Retail.

Maintain and fix data flow and synchronization issues between POS and BC (LS Retail integration).

Develop or adjust custom fields, page layouts, and approval workflows based on business needs.

Process Mapping & Documentation



Analyze existing business processes and define optimized workflows within Business Central (sales, inventory, procurement, finance, POS).

Create detailed SOPs and technical documentation for processes, reports, and customizations.

Ensure proper usage of system functionalities by business users across finance, operations, and sales.

Reporting & Data Management



Build dynamic dashboards and management reports in Power BI, including sales, stock, GRN, margin, cashier performance, and others.

Automate manual reports and migrate them to the ERP environment where applicable.

Ensure data accuracy, reconciliations, and drill-down capability in reports for department heads.

User Support & Training



Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to internal users (finance, purchase, warehouse, retail).

Train users on best practices and new features as rolled out.

Regularly audit user activity and suggest improvements in ERP usage.

Strategic System Enhancement



Recommend technical and functional upgrades aligned with business goals.

Lead minor projects for enhancements or third-party integrations (payment gateways, mobile POS, etc.).

Liaise with Microsoft Partners only for major development work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

3-5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferably post-NAV versions).

Solid experience with LS Retail POS system including configuration and issue resolution.

Experience in AL programming (extensions, customizations, debugging).

Strong knowledge of Power BI, Jet Reports, and Excel Pivot/Power Query.

Deep understanding of retail and supermarket operations (inventory, POS, GRNs, pricing, loyalty).

Ability to manage system support independently and guide business process improvement.

Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Experience:



UAE experience in supermarket or retail chain setup.

Familiarity with multi-location store and warehouse management in BC/LS.

Exposure to role-based security, workflow automation, and third-party integrations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
