We are currently looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to provide technical, financial and strategic support to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will assist in managing ongoing construction projects, reviewing technical documentation, monitoring budgets, and conducting market research to support business growth and decision-making.
Previous experience in the construction industry will be an advantage to you.
Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and update project schedules in line with contractual requirements.
Support the Managing Director in day-to-day project coordination, decision-making, and follow-ups.
Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple sites.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution.
Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance.
Assist in ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
Provide inputs during tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
Prepare business cases, comparative studies, and strategic reports for senior management.
Draft and maintain accurate records of contracts, approvals, meeting minutes, and change orders.
Assist in preparing execution plans, risk registers, and mitigation strategies.
Generate high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
MBA, Finance, or Quantity Surveying qualification will be an added advantage.
5-10 years' proven experience in construction project management with exposure to financial and business analysis.
Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, cost control, and market dynamics.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera (P6), AutoCAD, and ERP/financial systems.
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial and market data.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure with high attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
