Wood is looking for a Technical Administrator with Engineering background and with a passion for Technical Safety to be based in Dubai.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff and the methods, practices, and programs of the company.

Provides straightforward solutions to problems using readily available, clear, and direct references.

Collects and evaluates data and develops plans for assignments that may involve design application.

Prepares simple plans and specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations in accordance with established specifications.

Collaborate with Lead Technical Safety Engineer and support the Lead in delivering the requirements of Technical Safety in the areas of Loss Prevention and Fire Protection.

Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and support as Note taker.

Support Lead in preparing Loss Prevention / Fire Protection / Fire & Gas Detection Philosophies.

Collaborate with Site team at Iraq for data collection and verification related to Process Safety aspects.

Co-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.

Attend client meetings and communicate issues with lead engineer for resolution.

Keeping updates on relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments.

Actively maintain own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSc, BEng or equivalent. (Preferred Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).

5+ years of overall experience .

Certifications in Process Safety would be an advantage.

Good command of the English language (both written and verbal). Knowing Arabic will be an advantage.

Well adept in utilizing MS Office.

Good communication, reporting and presentation skills.
