Job Summary An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join our Food & Beverage Service Team. Responsibilities
Supervise all operational aspects within the F&B department including the development and performance management of colleagues, optimizing profits and increasing sales
Supervise all operational issues ensuring Jumeirah's Standard Operation Procedures are met and value is added to the F&B objectives as detailed in the F&B Departmental Performance Plan
Assume full responsibility of a specific shift in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager
Supervise effectiveness of workflow and sequence of service during service periods and provides constant hands-on support
Supervise closely and monitor the cashiering function of the outlet to ensure compliance with Jumeirah Cashiering Procedures
Monitor customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints ensuring Jumeirah procedures for CSI and Compliant Handling are followed
Inform Outlet Manager or Assistant Manager of any complaints, negative feedback from guest after they first try to resolve
Actively use the database of customer details or history to assist in guest recognition and preferences
Advise the Outlet Manager or Assistant Manager of any improvements needed in relation to restaurants operation including updates to SOP's or addition / deletion of SOP's
Responsible to assist management in the identification and recognition of any example of "excellence in service or teamwork"
Acknowledge the receipt of new or amended documents through the intranet when instructed by the Outlet Manager or Assistant Manager
Assist in controlling department forms and records according to the Jumeirah International standards for Document Control
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of F&B SOP's and ensure these are upheld at all times through constant observation and coaching
Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed on a daily basis
Supervise and monitor the completion of weekly cleaning schedules
Conduct regular briefings and training sessions to ensure all colleagues receive the information necessary to perform their jobs
Assist the Outlet Manager or Assistant Manager to develop and update F&B knowledge of all colleagues on a regular basis
Maintain a working knowledge of relevant sections within the Jumeirah Group

Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
At least 2 years' experience in similar role in 5 star luxury hotel
You will be a highly driven and motivated individual with a good knowledge and understanding of Food and Beverage operations, knowledge of F&B applications (Micros, Epicure).
Posses good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi cultural environment
Essential to have a good command of the English language (spoken and written)
Additional language will be desirable
