Team Leader - Workshop Operations
to support workshop efficiency, mentor technicians, and ensure repairs are completed to the highest quality standards across multiple vehicle brands.
Key Responsibilities
Allocate and coordinate work orders effectively among Technicians based on skill and workload.
Ensure accurate clocking of Technicians for all repair and service operations.
Monitor repair progress to ensure timely job completion.
Liaise with Service Advisors to ensure clear communication of job requirements and customer concerns.
Maintain high technician productivity and workshop efficiency.
Review work orders for clarity, completeness, and brand-specific requirements.
Ensure alignment between work orders and customer, warranty, retail, and internal standards.
Provide ongoing technical support, mentoring, and guidance to Technicians across multiple brands.
Take ownership of repeat repairs and ensure root-cause resolution.
Diagnose customer concerns through inspections, road tests, and advanced diagnostic procedures.
Ensure compliance with
multibrand workshop manuals and repair standards
.
Ensure correct and safe use of tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop resources.
Translate customer complaints into clear, actionable technical instructions.
Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and technical support providers when required.
Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and protection of customer property.
Ensure accurate documentation of all work performed and defects identified.
Conduct quality control checks and sign off work orders as applicable.
Report quality, tooling, training, and resource gaps to the Workshop Manager.
Minimize lost time through disciplined workflow management and accurate reporting.
Support Service Advisors during diagnostics and vehicle handover when required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong diagnostic and technical expertise across multiple vehicle makes.
Hands-on experience with various diagnostic tools and systems.
Ability to work independently with a positive and proactive mindset.
Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
Fair, professional, and objective decision-making ability.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driving license.
