We are seeking an experienced Team Lead - Data Scientist to drive commercial analytics, consumer insights, and data-driven decision-making within a semi-government entity in UAE. This role is ideal for professionals from a boutique or consulting background, focusing on extracting business value and actionable insights from data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive commercial and consumer analytics to enhance decision-making across business units
- Develop and deploy advanced data models to optimize marketing, customer segmentation, and engagement strategies
- Identify opportunities across different media channels, tracking ROI and effectiveness of investments (e.g., billboards vs. online ads)
- Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to deliver insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product teams, to translate data insights into business impact
- Work with large-scale data platforms and ensure effective data governance and analytics infrastructure
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data science and analytics and 4+ years of experience leading and managing data teams
- Proven expertise in commercial analytics, customer insights, and marketing analytics
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics
- Hands-on experience in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Consulting or boutique analytics firm experience is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
