Aldar Education are currently seeking a Teacher - Physical Education for Al Shohub Private School to start in January 2026 (Term2)


Al Shohub Private School is a British curriculum, part of Aldar Schools, offering mixed gender primary school located in a purpose-built educational facility, at Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi. Al Shohub Private School was founded in 1999 by Her Highness Sheikha Shaikha Bint Saif Al Nahyan to provide exceptional education in Abu Dhabi. The large majority of our students are Emiratis. Our school is deeply rooted in the values of the Emirati community, driven by the aspirations of parents, and guided by the requirements of our regulatory body, ADEK.

Minimum Experience:

o Minimum 1- 2 years Teaching experience.

Desirable:

Advance Swimming qualification.

Job Specifics, Knowledge & Skills:

o Planning and delivering outstanding primary PE lessons.


o Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language.


o Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.


o A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Main Duties:

To deliver physical education and swimming lessons that inspire students to succeed and ensure children achieve the best possible outcomes.

Specific Duties:

Teaching and Learning:

oClear understanding of the PE English National Curriculum.


oSupporting swimming lessons.


oPlanning, preparing and presenting sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.


oMotivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.


oBeing reflective of the classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjusting environment, planning and curriculum to reflect this.

Behaviour Management and Duties:

o Follow the school's behaviour policy.


o Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students' needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.


o Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour, which are expected of pupils.


o Have high expectations of behaviour, promoting self-control and independence of all learners.

Minimum Qualifications:

Attested Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification. * Swimming Instructor License as per Uae requirements.
