Job description

Aldar Education is currently seeking Teacher-EYFS for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing commencing January 2024. B. Teaching and learning:
  • To be able to teach all areas of the Early Years Curriculum.
  • Thorough knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the new Early Years Curriculum.
  • Organising the classroom, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Mamoura British Academy USP in this area.
  • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Providing support and interventions for students with EAL or who have additional learning need.
  • Evidencing children\xe2\x80\x99s work and learning in line with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
  • Being reflective of lessons taught and student progress, and adjusting planning, curriculum and continuous provision to reflect this.
  • Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists, if required.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practice, participating in school CPD and T&L initiatives.
  • To be able to demonstrate very effective use of technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery and continuous provision.
C. Assessment and data:
  • Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of children in the EYFS to ensure that they reach above expected expectations.
  • Meeting the requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils\' development using Learning Ladders.
  • Providing regular feedback to parents and carers on a student\xe2\x80\x99s progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
  • To plan, prepare and contribute to termly Pupil Progress Meetings.
D. Behaviour management and duties:
  • To follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy to set high expectations.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils\xe2\x80\x99 needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Maintain good relationships with pupils and parents and follow the schools\xe2\x80\x99 procedures to manage and challenge any rare occurrences of unwanted behaviour.
  • Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils.
  • Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.
E. Wider professional responsibilities

  • Support with organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers with regards to student\xe2\x80\x99s achievements and well-being using school systems/processes.
  • To run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the provision we offer for our students.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 2 years Teaching experience in English National Curriculum.
  • EYFS experience preferred

Al Mamoura Academy is a partly co-educational international school located in Abu Dhabi, first accepting an intake of students in 2016. The school has primary and secondary areas, with the school\xe2\x80\x99s primary division being co-educational and secondary being girls-only.
