Tax Lead(Job Number: TAX000003)

Description

Review tax returns for all direct and indirect taxes (Corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.) for the countries in scope and ensure timely filing and payment of all. The Team Lead will be responsible to oversee deadlines and inform the Regional Tax Team in case of any delay or issue.
Stay updated on tax changes and update the team knowledge over tax regulation and changes in the tax legislation and accounting treatments associated with any change, assist in early adaptation of changes in regulation through multiple systems affected in coordination with the technical teams involved.
Laise with the Regional Tax Team to support in all tax related queries related to the group, support in case of Tax Audits or Tax Filings done at Group Level, tax updates and trainings.
mplement systems and processes to compile all relevant tax information related to the company’s tax position and filings, while monitoring and ensuring the timely filing of all tax returns across all jurisdictions.
Develop and maintain high level of customer services and productive working relationships with stakeholders to foster business improvement and objective achievement, as well as work closely with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Recruit, train, motivate and evaluate his / her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base, and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree is a plus
7-9 Years of experience in Tax, Tax compliance in Big 4 / large groups is a plus.
Specialization in VAT is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office
Fluency in English, Arabic, French is plus
