Overview / Responsibilities

Purpose / Role

Provide support to Wood's UAE based Talent Management Team covering operations in Iraq in facilitating Training & Competence related activities and ensure training and development activities are organised, delivered, recorded and reported as appropriate.

Key aims and objectives

Provide a professional Training & Competence support to Wood's UAE based projects and contracts covering operations in Iraq.

Facilitate and support the delivery of In Country Value-add (ICV) strategy.

Prime responsibilities & Duties

  • Adhere to Wood Health and Safety standards and requirements.
  • To ensure all Training & Competence related procedures are followed
  • Maintain project Training Matrix and Trackers
  • Assist L&D team with project payments related to trainings.
  • To assist Training & Competence team in related corporate initiatives, i.e. Graduate development, Leadership development
  • To attend all project meetings with relation to training & competence as and when required
  • Assists Talent Development team with the planning, coordination, and administration of specific
  • work activities.
  • Coordinates Talent Development programs as required by Line Manager ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept
  • informed of progress.
  • Administrate project reports related to employees retention, seniority and performance for Compensation and benefits purposed.
  • Supports regular reporting of Talent Development activities
Allied Occasional duties:

To facilitate training sessions for project personnel

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications/Training

Essential: Bachelor Degree qualification or equivalent experience in organisational development/learning

Desired: Qualification in Training & Learning (CIPD, CPLP)

Experience

Essential: 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in Oil & Gas industry preferably

Desired:

Experience working in project location

Experience in dealing with Engineering & Construction personnel

Core Competencies
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise and manage work to deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of the analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of adult training
  • Good working knowledge about competence assurance process
  • Effective IT skills
  • Fluency in English is essential, whilst fluency in Arabic would be highly beneficial
