Job Description

A garment tailor creates, alters, and repairs clothing to fit clients' needs and measurements. This role requires a high degree of precision, a strong knowledge of fabrics, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities



Consult with clients on garment design, alteration, and repair needs. Take precise body measurements for custom and altered garments. Create new garments by drafting patterns, cutting fabric, and sewing pieces. Perform alterations, such as adjusting hems and seams, to ensure a perfect fit. Repair damaged clothing, including replacing zippers, buttons, and linings. Utilize both hand-sewing and machine-sewing techniques. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress. Proficiency in hand and machine sewing techniques. Knowledge of various fabrics, garment construction, and patterns. Strong attention to detail and precision. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
