Systems Librarian
The American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Systems Librarian.
The Systems Librarian is responsible for providing leadership and primary responsibility in configuring, developing, and
sustaining the library services platform, discovery systems, and other systems used to manage library processes. The
Systems Librarian is also responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all technology resources for the effective
functioning of the library.

Principal Responsibilities:
Department Leadership
- Provides on-site leadership to the Technical Services Unit and ensures effective unit operations when off-site.
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion by making decisions to depart from standard policy or
procedure as deemed necessary after consulting the Library Director.
- Support and ensure the interoperability of our Library management system, authentication system and other
