Job Summary:

The Assistant Swimming Pool Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, cleaning, and operation of swimming pools and related equipment. This role involves ensuring water quality, assisting in equipment inspections, and performing general upkeep to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for users.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily maintenance and cleaning of swimming pools, spas, and water features. Monitor and test water quality (e.g., chlorine, pH levels) and adjust chemicals under supervision. Help inspect and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing systems. Report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor or technician in charge. Assist in backwashing filters, vacuuming pool floors, and cleaning skimmers and baskets. Support seasonal pool openings and closings. Maintain cleanliness of pool decks and surrounding areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in maintaining inventory of pool chemicals and supplies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of swimming pool systems and maintenance practices (training may be provided). Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in swimming pool maintenance is a plus. Basic certification in pool operations or maintenance (optional but preferred).
