Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety of swimmers by maintaining constant supervision during lessons. Enforce pool safety rules and practices. Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents. Assess swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback on their performance. Record individual progress, attendance, and achievements. Create and follow structured lesson plans that align with swimmer goals. Maintain open communication with swimmers and their families (if applicable) regarding progress and lesson structure. Address concerns or questions related to swimming techniques, safety, or lesson plans. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues with the pool to the appropriate staff or management. Ensure that all equipment is properly used and stored. Stay current with swimming techniques, teaching methods, and certifications. Participate in ongoing training and workshops to enhance teaching skills and water safety knowledge.
Requirements:

Swim instructor certification (ASCA Level 1-5 Certificate or Swim England 1 and 2) Experience working with children, adults, or individuals with special needs Strong communication skills. Ability to motivate and encourage swimmers of all levels. Patience and understanding when teaching and addressing diverse learning styles. Ability to swim proficiently and demonstrate techniques. Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and work in a pool environment. Flexible hours based on class schedules. Evening and weekend availability may be required.
