Collaborating with the BU Innovation & Technology Director this exciting new role of Sustainability Engineer is vital in crafting, developing, and implementing sustainable goals within the organization. This position involves maximising engineering expertise to drive initiatives sought at reducing our environmental impact, optimizing resource usage, and improving overall sustainability performance. If successful you will integrate sustainable practices into our production processes and support the company\'s commitment to environmental responsibility. Responsibilities also include;

• Analysis and Optimization: Conduct assessments and analyses to find opportunities for improvement in energy consumption, resource utilization, and emissions reduction. Implement measures to optimize and improve energy efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce the organization\'s environmental footprint.
• Project Management: Lead sustainability-focused projects, collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of sustainable practices.
• Compliance and Standards: Stay updated on environmental regulations and industry standards, and practices implement sustainability guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Research and Innovation: Explore and evaluate emerging sustainable technologies and practices. Recommend and implement innovative solutions that align with sustainability goals.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data to supervise key performance indicators related to sustainability. Prepare reports (EPD) for clients and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

About the ideal candidate

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience in engineering (e.g., environmental, mechanical, civil, electrical) or a related field. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience or certifications in sustainability engineering are advantageous.
• Proven understanding of sustainability principles, environmental impact assessment, and life cycle analysis (LCA).
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools for sustainability assessments and modeling.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate sustainability-focused projects.
• Analytical mentality and problem-solving skills to assess systems and processes for sustainability improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate with diverse teams.
