This role involves the continuous observation of surveillance systems, proactive threat detection, and prompt response to any suspicious activity. The Surveillance Officer plays a key role in maintaining a discreet, secure, and controlled environment in line with high-profile and confidential residential standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Diploma or certificate in Security Management, Criminology, or related field is preferred Certified training in CCTV operations and residential surveillance systems (mandatory) Valid security license as per UAE regulations First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Clean criminal background and eligibility for private security clearance Professional demeanor with respect for cultural norms in a high-profile household Minimum of 3 years of relevant security or surveillance experience in a VIP residence, diplomatic setting, luxury hotel, or high-security private estate. Proven ability to coordinate with internal household staff and external emergency services during incidents or drills. Experience with advanced CCTV systems, access control, and electronic perimeter protection. Familiarity with maintaining discreet surveillance while upholding the privacy and dignity of household members. Previous experience working in a high-security, culturally sensitive environment in the UAE or GCC region preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Proficient in the use of surveillance technologies (CCTV, motion sensors, alarm systems, etc.). Trained to recognize subtle behavioral cues, potential security breaches, or environmental changes that could indicate risk. Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods without performance degradation. Skilled in maintaining active surveillance during periods of low activity or during long, uneventful shifts. Capable of assessing and responding to emergency situations such as intrusions, fire alarms, or medical events with clarity and speed. Prioritizes appropriate levels of response, balancing security protocol with discretion in high-profile environments. Demonstrates initiative in making informed decisions when immediate leadership is unavailable. Able to assess risk versus overreaction to maintain a calm and controlled environment, especially in the presence of VIPs or guests. Writes detailed, structured, and legally sound incident reports and daily logs. Communicates clearly with the Head of Security, household management, and other team members across different departments. Can relay emergency updates to HOD and to relevant emergency services if needed (internal procedures will be applied). Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data protection practices (access to CCTV data must be restricted and logged; no unauthorized sharing of video, audio, or personal details of residents, guests, or staff). Applies best practices in surveillance data handling, security patrol protocols, and visitor verification. Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to full shift coverage and readiness to step in when needed. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to remain discreet, professional, and composed at all times. Adept at monitoring multi-screen surveillance systems with real-time threat recognition and incident playback analysis. Skilled in troubleshooting and reporting technical issues in surveillance systems to ensure uninterrupted monitoring. Knowledge of remote access systems and integration with smart home technology or private security networks. Ability to log and archive video footage for investigative or evidentiary purposes, following confidentiality protocols.
