As a Support Engineer working with the Multi Biometric Identification System (MBIS) team, you will ensure internal and external customers\xe2\x80\x99 satisfaction by assisting customers in the operation and maintenance of Thales MBIS solution in order to provide and sustain operational excellence.

A week in the life of a Support Engineer:

• You will answer calls and provide appropriate solutions to customer issues.
• You will assist customers in troubleshooting and solving issues or escalating to the research and development team if needed.
• You understand the customer\'s business goals and how the technology meets those goals.
• You will troubleshoot and identify issues in the Linux servers.
• You will implement appropriate development projects.
• You will manage software acceptance and integration before site deployment.
• You will perform product migration and deployment at customer sites.
• You will transfer developed and qualified technology to production plans including relevant training.
• You will provide product training to customers for their use cases.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• To succeed at this job, you must have: the ability to travel when required, autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to solve complex problems and work under pressure.
• We would appreciate if you have about 5 years of experience in the following:

• Red hat Linux (v7.6/8+) Administration with real-time experience - Certified
• Virtual Server Management
• Knowledge of Shell Scripting
• Oracle Database management \xe2\x80\x93 Performance monitoring, Backup strategy, regular activity planning.
• Strong knowledge in SQL & PL/SQL
• Windows 2016 server configuration and maintenance
• Working knowledge of web servers, Rabbit MQ, and OBIEE.
• Any experience in either Java or JS will be an advantage.
• You must be fluent in English.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
