Supply Chain Manager Grade: GG12 Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company as a Governance Manager. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems' commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA. The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for: · Providing support to the Head of Salam Supply and the wider SSS Supply Chain for the SSS contract concerning Supply Chain performance, training and data quality. · Managing outputs of direct reports and liaise and integrate with SMSCMC contractual and operational teams both in KSA and the UK to meet challenging operational readiness and fleet availability targets. · Defining and delivering training plans to enable efficient and effective Supply Chain operations to support the customer and the SSS contract. · Ensuring system data accuracy is maintained to enable efficient supply operations to be performed which will support operational and business needs. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The job is responsible to the Head of Supply for the ownership and delivery of Supply Chain performance, training and data quality and is to operate within desired timescales and budgets. The Supply Chain Performance, Training and Data Quality Manager will carry out the following tasks; · Performance management of the Supply Chain operation. · Monitor SMSCMC performance of spares and repairs services providing support to return-to-green plans as necessary. · Ownership of SMSCMC Taif achievement of SSS contractual deliverables. · Support Supply Chain financial performance through effective review and reporting processes. · Deliver appropriate monthly supply chain data/reports to senior management and assist with production of management information packs and reports. · Work within the Salam Training Programme as directed by Typhoon Training staffs in Riyadh and elsewhere. · Maintain an effective Supply Chain Training Programme within the Salam Supply Chain. · Identification of both general and specific Supply Chain training requirements including Health & Safety, Human Factors, MHE, IT, etc. · Ensure that all personnel within Supply Chain staff are trained to comply with policy and procedures. · Ensure Supply Chain personnel are competent and authorised to perform tasks. · Ensure training and development needs are addressed for all Supply Chain personnel. · Recording and reporting on all mandated and professional Supply Chain training. · Responsible for identifying and prioritising the management of data related issues, according to their financial, operation or quality impacts to the business. · Continuously improve the end-to-end Supply solution coherently with other SSS operational activities. · Promote the implementation and sharing of best practice. · Ensure the required working environment is appropriate for the delivery of the Supply Chain activities. · Ensure the working environment is free from all forms of harassment and discrimination in line with the company Code of Conduct. · Ensuring that all work carried out within his areas of responsibility is conducted in accordance with current Health & Safety and Environment Protection legislation relevant to the Saudi Workmen and Labour Laws. · Ensure that all incidents/accidents are investigated and correctly reported in accordance with agreed procedures. · Ensure that Airworthiness and Safety is afforded due recognition within the Supply Chain organisation. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The post holder must: · Have extensive Supply Chain training delivery experience in a Military environment. · Have an understanding of RSAF/Military/BAESSA/SMSCMC Supply Chain procedures and training methodologies · Be educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering, Programme Management or Supply Chain discipline. · Be experienced at leading effective and fast-moving operational Supply Chain support solutions. · Have the ability to communicate effectively to senior RSAF officer and Company Director / senior management level. · Possess awareness of Project Management principles and techniques. · Have Supply Chain experience in a customer-facing environment.
