Assistant Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

  • Book cargo and arrange shipping containers and transportation.
  • Send Booking Confirmation/Delivery Orders.
  • Issue Bills of Lading and Export Declaration.
  • Registration through authorities such as Dubai Custom / Montaji / Municipality.
  • Arranges shipping details such as export licenses, customs declarations, and packing, shipping, and routing of product.
  • Review customer requirements/Letters of Credit and report any problems/discrepancies to the customer.
  • Maintain communication with steamship agents/truckers as to status of shipments.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Finance team.
  • Converse with clients via email and telephone.
  • Align and facilitate all forecasting, ordering processing and stock management task with distribution partner and sub distribution and ensure compliance with holding company guidelines.
  • Apply and arrange for all product certifications.
  • Process monthly orders and per demand planning process.
  • Ensure product quality in terms of storage and transport as per holding company guidelines.
  • Monitor, track & report on jointly developed sales and development plans monthly.
  • Identify new insights from a techno-commercial perspective and negotiate with transporters/ freight forwarders to ensure appropriate Transport Solutions delivery.
  • Handle Supply Chain activities by analyzing marketplace to obtain best product at best cost, quality and delivery objectives, ensuring the maximum bottom-line impact.
  • Lead a high performing team to drive change, reduce cost and process improvement and align team efforts towards the delivery of agreed business-critical objectives.
  • Produced reports pertaining to Inventory ageing/ margin analysis/product movement to product and marketing department as well as to GM with focus on Inventory reduction/Margin Improvement/avoidance of stock shortages etc. on regular basis.
  • Maintained excellent relations with suppliers across the Globe for all PureBorn brands and ensured timely shipment of materials to desired destination to ensure minimum inventory at any time and without any loss of sales.
  • Maintained updated price list of new and existing products and weekly stock positioning for re-exports out of UAE.
  • Facilitate an expedited shipment by recognizing opportunities to find lower cost carriers and faster shipping routes, negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers and recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency.
Requirements/ Qualifications The Assistant Supply Chain Manager is accountable for the below main major points additional to the fulfillment of the above duties and responsibilities:
  • Must have 3-4 years UAE experience on the same field.
  • Good interpersonal skills required.
  • Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and Incoterms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
