Supply Chain Solutions Architect Business Development Grade: 12 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. An exciting opportunity exists to join the BAE Systems majority owned Joint Venture company 'Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Company' (SMSCMC) as Supply Chain Solutions Architect Business Development

The Supply Chain Solution Architect is responsible for the design, and the development of cost effective supply chain service solutions within SMSCMC relating to new business opportunities. The Supply Chain Solution Architect is required to capture customers' requirements and develop a technical, costed value for money solution to meet their requirements within associated bid timescales. The role will be performed within the SMSCMC Business Development Team. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Capture potential customers Supply Chain requirements: Customer requirements and "hot buttons" affecting the supply chain Offset and Industrialisation requirements Business, regulatory and other requirements affecting the supply chain KPIs and important milestones affecting the supply chain Define and design Supply Chain solution design: Solution "rich picture" Full range of services and capabilities required to achieve the requirements Internal metrics that will be used to measure and manage performance Organisation & leadership roles definition Overview of the major sub-contractors, partners and key suppliers within the solution Functional interfaces and interactions to deliver optimised solution Definition of processes, systems, tools and roles to deliver the service Compliancy and regulatory requirements captured Demonstrate assurance of the solution through Life Cycle Management Design Reviews Deliver within strategic considerations Solution fits with Business strategy Solution fits with Customers future requirements and strategy Strategic design considerations e.g. synergies with existing solutions RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Substantial experience as a supply chain operations manager, including Physical Logistics/Inventory Management/Demand Forecasting & Planning. Experienced in capturing and understanding customer requirements from RFQ stage, with the ability to further technically validate their requirements. Experienced in designing, costing and developing end to end supply chain solutions/services. Comprehensive understanding of Life Cycle Management processes. Extensive knowledge of supply chain capabilities, skill-sets and the resources required for successful deployment. Minimum of HND or equivalent in supply chain/logistics. Strong quantitative, analytical skills/experience.
