To lead and direct all facets of Supply Chain management including but not limited to, purchasing, contracting, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, material planning, repair and warranty, sourcing, and tendering. Provide leadership and align departmental direction for the comprehensive supply chain function, strategies, cost-containment, and material and supplier performance across the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop Supply Chain strategies, policies, procedures, in line with the Royal Jet business and best practices to optimize value of the entire function.
Manage all activities relating to material planning, purchasing, tendering, contracting, repairing, warranty management, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
Maintain compliance to with all regulatory requirement from the civil aviation authority and conform to ethical standards and best practices of procurement and supply.
Manage the effective achievement of Supply Chain departmental objectives - setting individual objective, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal- in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
Direct and oversees the preparation of the Supply Chain Management department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated cost, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Monitor and control financial health of Supply Chain through periodic review of its financial status to meet the goals of sustainable business operations.
Manage aircraft parts inventory of Royal Jet and Presidential Flight ensuring compliance to established warehouse polices and procedure and highest service levels.
Ensure that handling and storage of all parts and materials are managed in accordance with civil aviation set standards and regulations to minimise obsolescent and damage .
Approve recommended spares for new type of aircraft , in accordance with best practice and scientific probability methods.
Manage activities related to the commercial procurement process to be carried out in a timely and effective manner through proper resources .
Leads the contract negotiation process with suppliers and vendors to ensure that Royal Jet\xe2\x80\x99s interests are effectively secured.
Oversees and evaluate performance of logistics subcontracted partners to ensure effectiveness and compliance to contractual terms and plans.
Ensure that all materials are accurately tracked and monitored to ensure compliance with local civil aviation authority.
Skills
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in supply chain management or any other suitable study disciplines
MBA or equivalent master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Aviation of which at least 4 years heading a similar function
Full knowledge and understanding of the Aircraft Systems and Airworthiness Quality Control requirements set by the Civil Aviation Authorities
Possess extensive knowledge and understanding of the Aviation Materials Manufacturing and Distribution Industry
Must have industry connections knowledgeable of various Material Management Systems used in the industry
Knowledge and understanding of International Shipping and Customs formalities
Should have good understanding of and the ability to implement automated Material Management Systems
Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks
Strong verbal and written Communication skills
Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills
Strong knowledge in the development and implementation of policies & procedures
