Job Description
Background and main Job Purpose:
Unilever Arabia has turnover of Euro 650m spanning 7 GCC countries of KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Yemen. There are two sourcing units across countries operating in a dynamic economic environment with cross sourcing from within and outside NAME countries. The business is geared to be agile given the dynamic and VUCA regulatory environment, needs to deliver higher return on investment across sites and follows a strong localization as well as WCM agenda.
The individual will be principal finance business partner to the Personal Care SC Director. The individual needs to build SC Information capability and to support Regional/MCO projects. The key deliverable of the role will be driving savings projects with functional leads and co-creating business cases for investment and capacity.
The role is also responsible for partnering SC and business finance leads within Personal Care division and will actively participate in Supply Chain initiatives across Arabia.
Key Accountabilities
Business Partnering
- BP SC director/ExCom and their team
- BU SC LT meeting, monthly calls, SC review with SC director and VP
Distribution
- Establish mechanism to monitor & control distribution costs
- Provide right level of visibility and insights to key stakeholders
- Deliver Personal BU Distribution costs by partnering with Logistics teams in Gulf and KSA
SC Indirect
- Establish mechanism to monitor & control SC Indirect
- Provide right level of visibility and insights to key stakeholders
- Deliver Personal Care BU SC indirect in line with OP target by partnering with BU SC Director
BW Reduction
- Deliver BU BW reduction in line with internal OP target by partnering with CSE
- Lead Monthly SLOB forums across all SU's
Business Case
- Prepare sourcing BC's & support Innovation BC's
- Ensure actualization of sourcing strategies as per assumptions in the BC
Savings
- Identify Saving Opportunities & leverage on them to ensure that savings delivery against BU & SU targets
- Review and approve Distribution and SCI SRS Savings and ensure delivery in line with target
Information Support
Establish reliable source of information for decision making:
- Accurate & timely standard monthly deck
- Provide timely & correct input for BU SC booklet
Controls
- Ensure BU Controls in place, followed and in line with GFCF requirements (stock movements, SIT, etc).
- Manage Audits (SOX audit, External auditors, IA, Corp Audit, etc)
Critical KPI’s:
- Savings delivery
- Capex investment delivery / ROA, realizing the business benefit
- Transformation business cases delivery OTIF
- BW reduction
Professional Skills / Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
- MBA degree / Master’s Degree is a plus.
- +4 years of experience in business partnering, controlling, or any similar roles.
- Adaptable to changes in a fast-pasted environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Accumulated strong regional experience, business partnering, controlling – Supply Chain Finance / Brand / Customer.
- Excellent command of English.
