The Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) Manager will report to the Finance Director and manage respective operation in Northern & Western Africa (N&WA) markets. She/he will work very closely with JTI Country Managers, Sales Director & Sales Managers, N&WA Finance, JTI Global Customer Services, Factories, Credit Team, as well as work with local Distributors and freight forwarders. The incumbent will also be in continuous coordination with the Marketing team to make sure that the SC&L activities are aligned with the Demand forecasting and Portfolio strategy for the N&WA markets.

The incumbent will be primarily accountable for sales orders placement, monitoring of market sales forecast and respective company production plans and logistics arrangements, collection level to ultimately achieve continuous supply and no out of stock at optimal inventory level.

The incumbent will also be responsible for efficient management of tax stamps and other tax codification systems, marketing materials clearance and storage, as well as stock monitoring in-market and at JTI.

Responsibilities:

FINISHED GOODS/MATERIALS SHIPMENTS Coordinate and follow up on sales orders & shipments based on the estimations provided by the Marketing and Sales teams in terms of Portfolio strategy and Demand forecasting needs Monitor logistics arrangement with the Distributors, JTI's Customer Service and Factories Monitor collection, as well as credit line status in close coordination with Distributors, JTI Customer Service & Credit Department. Address overdue and anticipate bank guaranty deposits/LCs when applicable to ensure shipment continuity Close collaboration with the JTI SA Credit team and the Country Managers/Sales Directors at market level to balance cash collection risk and, if applicable, explore and implement solutions to mitigate the risks associated with business and volume growth in the N&WA markets Monitor status and release of blocked orders with N&WA Finance team and JTI SA Credit team

TAX STAMPS & OTHER TAX CODIFICATION SYSTEMS Monitor tax stamps and other codification systems orders & stock level to ensure timely and continuous production Handle tax stamps ordering and payment with distributors, customs, and suppliers Coordinate timely return of the damaged stamps Monitor tax stamps guarantee arrangements when necessary Monitor the develop and implementation of new tax codification systems, according to current or future local regulations in the N&WA markets

STOCK ANALYSIS Analyze & report in-market stock at all warehouses; alert in case of low / high stock and organize corrective actions

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES Ensure proper inventory readiness for timely product launch in line with plans developed by Marketing & Sales team

CUSTOMER MASTER DATA/PURCHASE REQUISITIONS Ensure data integrity and manages master data changes for Customers, new products, price changes, etc. Assume the role of SAP Purchase Requisitioner as needed

MARKETING MATERIALS Manage receipts & clearance of JTI Marketing materials in coordination with Marketing and Sales team Manage relationship with warehouses and freight forwarders Perform the role of warehouse supervisor ensuring accurate materials' dispatch, tracking and stock management

AGING AND WRITE OFF Regularly review JTI stock status for Finished Goods, Raw Material & Marketing Material, initiate write-off process as necessary

CUSTOMER COMPLAINT Handle customer/consumer complaints and follows up with factories Handle Quality Management System and Feedback Management System

OPTIMIZATION OF SC&L PROCESSES WITHIN THE N&WA MARKETS Contribute to the optimization (time & costs) of the current production and logistics set up in the cluster Drive the redesign of the SC&L processes within the N&WA markets, according to the potential evolution of JTI's strategy and business models

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Build and develop the team in performing respective tasks, allocate tasks within team, leverage on agile way of working to boost performance and team development Optimization of the cluster SC&L structure and supervision of the dedicated resources at market level to ensure back up is set up for all critical tasks across markets Ensure talent development, ownership, growth, succession planning and delivery as One N&WA Team

PROFILE: University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or similar 10+ years working experience in supply chain and logistics; multinational working environment experience is a plus French & English required, Arabic is a plus Computer fluency in MS applications, SAP is a plus
